Beautiful Criminal (McCoy's Boys Book #1) by: Shady Grace

Long days, precious nights...

Mima Etu lives a quiet life with her sled dogs in the stunning Canadian Rockies. But that all changes when she stumbles upon a plane crash while out on a supply run. She's shocked to discover the pilot is still alive—though barely. With the sun setting and the temperatures quickly dropping, Mima knows he'd never survive the trip to the nearest hospital. So she takes the stranger back to her cabin. As he heals, his vague answers to Mima's questions about the flight tell her he has secrets. But more disturbing is the consuming, immediate attraction she senses between them.

Before he lost control of his Cessna and plunged into a pilot's hell, Gabriel Miller was on a deadly mission with precious cargo. Now he's awakened in the comfort of a log cabin with a gorgeous woman tending to his every need. Her soft-spoken beauty sparks his longing for a different kind of life….and it isn't long before they surrender to a blazing passion. But their blissful days are numbered. For the owners of the cargo are bent on finding Gabriel—and once they do, they don't intend to leave any witnesses behind.

Raw. Hot. Unexpected. Those are the words I would use to describe Beautiful Criminal by Shady Grace. It was also short, sweet, and to the point. Just how I like it! Let's talk a little bit about language. If you're the kind of person who likes flowery words and long poetic sentences, this is not the book where you'll find it. It's written in an everyday, direct conversational style that makes it an easy read. The very direct way in which the two main characters communicate and engage with one another sometimes had me turning away from the page and blushing. Did I say "hot" already?

Only Marriage Will Do by: Jenna Jaxon

Happily-ever-afters don't always begin at "I do."

When the man of her dreams rescues Lady Juliet Ferrers from the villain claiming to be her husband, she is sure she has found her one true love. But is she free to marry him? Not to be deterred, Juliet arranges for her hero to escort her to her family estate in far off Northern England—hoping that along the way she can win his love—and his hand…

Captivated by Juliet's sweetness and beauty, Captain Amiable Dawson can't help but be spellbound by the promise of a life with her. But the spell breaks when questions arise about her marital status. Soon the upstanding Amiable is unsure if he is indeed married to Juliet. And when his rival absconds with her, Amiable must choose between the law of the land and his heart's desire to rescue Juliet once more…

I'll be honest, this historical romance took a little while for me to get into. It wasn't that it started off slow. In fact, the first couple of pages read as though it was a continuation of a storyline already in progress. Being the second book in a series, I believe that's why it took me some time to get into the story. I had to catch up to all of the characters previously introduced in Jaxon's first novel in this series Only Scandal Will Do. For that reason, it couldn't hurt to begin with the first book.

Paradise by: Pamela Srey

She went from a lifetime without many friends, to quickly meeting new people and building relationships. With so much to learn and explore, Bianca has her heart set on finding her birth mother, but will she ever find her with so many road blocks that are keeping her from doing so? With all the new relationships being formed, will any of them help her forget the one thing from her past that she desperately misses?

Join Bianca in her journey through love, friendship, and a mysterious past in the second installment of The Bianca Grey Series.

I must say that I have waited quite a while to continue reading about Bianca from the YA series called The Bianca Grey Series written by Pamela Srey and I can certainly tell you, that I was not disappointed. The second book in this series which is entitled Paradise, picks right up where Melodies left off, with Bianca setting out on here college journey as well as beginning her path of self-discovery of learning more about who she is and to find her mother that gave her up for adoption as a baby.

From moving in to the dorms, to finding a job at a local coffee shop, to her first college years, Bianca seem wise beyond her years. This could easily be attributed to the fast and hard way she had to grow-up with an adoptive mother that could care less about herself, better yet Bianca. Anywho, Bianca desperately misses her boyfriend Pete Carrara, who is in New York attending Julliard, holds fast to her belief on starting this new chapter of her life alone on her own terms.

Make Me (The Submission Games #1) by Tamara Mataya

Investigative journalist Sloane Winters has one goal: take down The Underground, the exclusive BDSM club that’s swallowed her twin. Her exposé will show her sister the truth—there’s no such thing as harmless fun in BDSM.

Darko Aralica immediately recognizes Sloane as a submissive, but her judgmental arrogance about kink is an intriguing challenge. When she begs him to teach her submission, he accepts. He’ll prove Sloane’s rightful place is at The Underground—or tied to his bed.

Darko begins Sloane’s training, guiding her through sensual scenes that strip away her preconceptions about the lifestyle – and herself. Sloane thought she wanted the truth.
Now I have to begin this review with a disclaimer. I do not have an interest in reading novels that are in your face kink foolery or novels that have the act of expressing ones preference in the BDSM lifestyle. So, initially when I was asked to read this by the author, I was very apprehensive. I just knew that it would be too much for my liking and I would instantly be turned off, how so and ever, I was completely wrong.
Make Me by Tamara Mataya was not too much and not too little but just right. It was truly a tale that demonstrates things are not always what they seem or how we may perceive them based on our own personal biases. Sloane Winters was 100% certain that her sister, Tessa, was in danger and needed to be saved from herself and the moral-less underworld of BDSM. So, acting as captain-save-a-sister, Sloane decides that the best way to help her sister is to partake in the offerings below the surface of “normal”. This is where she runs into Darko Aralica, who not only sends Sloane’s pulse a racing just by his mere presents, but changes her complete view of her own truth by giving her a personal introduction into the lifestyle of the underworld.
