Mr. Bossy by: Danika Dare

About Mr. Bossy

It had been such a simple idea. Help the hot billionaire make his cheating ex jealous.
And he wasn’t just any billionaire. He was a filthy-talking Russian who was bossy as hell, gorgeous as sin, and wouldn’t take no for an answer. And he was paying well.
Thirty thousand dollars, half up front, to spend the weekend with a handsome, filthy-talking billionaire. Who could resist? Not this exhibitionist good girl.

Filthy-talking Russian.
He walked into her club looking for the type of woman who could accommodate his needs.
He found so much more.

Exhibitionist good girl.
She was in the business of temptation, and he was temptation incarnate.
He had money, looks, and a proposition that even she couldn’t resist.
Would Mr. Bossy make her break all of her rules?

Warning: This is a filthy, smut-filled, sheet-clawing, over-the-top, love story about finding forever in all the wrong places. This is romantic, smoking hot ladyporn at its dirtiest.
This standalone contains a HEA and a satisfying Epilogue. Enjoy. 18+ recommended.

My Review

I must say I was not interested in this title initially. I usually don't go for the obvious, you know those books with strip clubs, propositions, revenge on an ex... you know things like that that make the read sound so cliche-ish. But then I learn that the book was written by one of my favorite authors and so out of loyalty, I one-clicked. So, there I sat reading Mr. Bossy by Danika Dare about stripper, who is clearly a feature performer by the name of Greta. She has rules like no other "working girl" I've heard of, I mean its not like I know a lot of strippers personally, but I am going to go out on a limb with this one.Greta is the bees knees and does not go to the "Champagne Room" or  any VIP section of the club. She does not give private dances and her only duties are to shake it fast on the pole and serve drink. She is rather high-falutin with the original story of I needed a lot of money fast.

The tryst eight years in the making may start with a slow burn behind closed doors, but it soon explodes as clothes are shed and boundaries are pushed.

With the wedding approaching and more events on the horizon, Amaree and Evan know they will be spending more time together. Will their chemistry flame out or will their passionate lust turn into more?

Get double the story and double the burn in the rest of the Hotel Hookup series.

My Review

I am not sure about this read. It was good. It had some steam, but my goodness it was short. I mean the length of the book was what I was looking for at the time I chose Hotel Hook-Up: Austin by Annabelle Snow to read, but it was like whirlwind fast. There was little character development and by the time I read the last sentence, I can only say I think I liked Amaree & Evan. I mean I am all for second chance romances especially for high school lovebirds, but there was no romancing in this one. I mean Evan did say he wanted to begin again and Amaree was like sure, but in the end all they promised was to save a dance at their friends' upcoming nuptials which were 9 months away.

I digress, Hotel Hookup: Austin by Annabelle Snow was just okay. Sure, if you are looking for a slam, bam, thank you ma'am, kind of read, this is definitely the book for you. How-so-and-ever, if you need a little bit more to have you swooning over the story and its main characters, this isn't the read for you. But... one more but... there are two more parts in this series to feature two other hotel hook-ups that are all interconnected. So there you have it, 3-stars and I recommend that you add this title to your Goodreads "To Read" list and prepare to skip on over to read Hotel Hookup: Austin by Annabelle Snow on January 25, 2017.

So when he asks if he can walk her home, she hears herself whisper yes . . .

My Review

Oh my goodness... This was good! I enjoyed this from the beginning until the ending that came all too soon. However, before I continue, I just need explain that I am not on the Stepbrother romance bandwagon, so I was a tad hesitant to request this read from Netgalley. You see I've only read one other stepbrother novel which was Stepbrother Dearest by Penelope Ward and believed that was a rare find in this particular sub-genre. Thusly, I was quickly proven wrong when I read Forbidden by Lauren Smith.

Here we find Katherine “Kat” Roberts, an American college freshman, living with her father, who recently started working abroad in London. She is attending school in Cambridge and because she and her father had moved around so much, she had not formed any meaningful relationships up to this point of her life. So, since she will be in Cambridge for three years, she takes the plunge and try to forge some relationships with a bestie and a spare.

The Player by J.D. Chase

Feisty redhead, Isla Hamilton, is the ambitious Assistant General Manager of a luxury Kensington hotel. When the hotel is sold, she is desperate to become the new General Manager. There’s just one problem standing in her way, and it’s standing over six feet tall - the king of arrogance and inappropriateness, Xander Rhodes. Her mind hates his obnoxious, godlike presence but, no matter how hard she fights it, her body reacts to his distinct style of directness, particularly his dirty mouth, and maintaining a professional distance soon becomes difficult.

Events from the recent past haunt her, forcing her to swear that she’ll never give another man a chance to hurt her. But Xander isn’t interested in commitment, he’s too busy battling his own demons that are shrouded in secrecy so he can’t hurt her, right? When he warns her that spending the night with him would only make her crave him like an addiction, she is sceptical and determined to prove him wrong. If anything, she’d make him crave her.

But will she be ready to handle the fallout if she succeeds?

Warning: adult content - dirty talk and hot sex may offend the prudish

I wasn’t too sure if I wanted to read this one and at some points I didn’t think I would finish it, but The Player by J.D. Chase was packed full of dirty talk between Isla Hamilton, Assistant General Manager of a luxury hotel and Xander Rhodes, the new owner. I must say that I have never read some of the word combinations before in my life. The phrase, ‘clutching my pearls’, cannot adequately explain my reaction to the words I read.

Deeper In Sin by Sharon Page

Passion Lost
Memories of a dark past have left the Duke of Caradon disinclined to have any fun. But at the urging of friends, he finds himself attending a Cyprian ball in the hope that some woman will attract his attention. And one certainly does. A stunningly sensual woman who reawakens feelings of carnal desire he thought long lost. . .

Desire Found
Sophie Ashley knows little of the courtesan life except what she's read in a book. A quick learner, Sophie makes her debut at the Cyprian Ball hoping to find a wealthy protector. And when she makes the acquaintance of the reclusive Duke of Caradon, she's most eager to test her talents in the art of erotic seduction. .

I have to say that I liked this novel better than I thought I would. Deeper in Sin by Sharon Page was an interesting tale in the Wicked Duke series where Sophie Ashley, who was a single mother, who had dreams of moving to London to become Victorian aged THOT. Sophia believed that with the aid of a journal her mother had written and abandoned, much like she did Sophia as a baby, would be all the instructions she would need to trick for treats and support herself. Conversely, the Duke of Caradon, or Cary, was a man needing to get his groove back after several horrendous events that had occurred throughout his life. From being kidnapped as a small child to being a prisoner of war, Cary has his demons to battle conquer in order to move on with his life.

Absolute Lovers by SJ Hooks

Professor Stephen Worthington has been schooled in the bedroom by free-spirited student Julia Wilde. But what started as a casual arrangement has turned into so much more—at least for Stephen.

Head over heels, Stephen is tired of being just “sex buddies.” Julia’s resisting, but her blithe attitude towards keeping it casual may just be a front. Can he prove to her that their amazing sexual chemistry can mix with romance and ultimately win her heart?

In this eagerly awaited sequel to S.J. Hooks’ successful first novel, Absolute Beginners, readers will find themselves riding alongside Stephen and Julia’s highs and lows as their friends-with-benefits relationship reaches a crossroads. Absolute Lovers’ humor and romance will tease and delight both dedicated fans and new readers alike.

Absolute Lovers is the final installment in the Absolute Novels series.

*This novel contains mature content.

Absolute Lovers is the second novel in the Absolute series written by SJ Hooks. This story picked up right where Absolute Beginners left off, with Julia and Stephen apart a horrible misunderstanding between the two of them. Stephen is literally, lovesick and is moping around while Julia is simply trying to hold on after the death of her grandfather.

This installment had all of the supporting characters as book one, but took a deeper look into the lives of both Stephen and Julia. However, their back stories did seem a bit shallow and could have used a little more depth. I mean, maybe it’s just me, but I wanted to know a little bit more about the how and why Stephen had his boudoir complex besides his one encounter with what’s her face.  Also, I wanted to learn more about the how and why Julia was able to take off around Europe at such a young age. You also get a glimpse of how smart Julia really is as a student.

Absolute Beginners by SJ Hooks

Professor Stephen Worthington’s life makes perfect sense.

He teaches classes on Tuesdays and Fridays. He has dinners with his parents on the weekend. He goes to the gym with his comically crass stepbrother, Matt, a few days each week. And every night, he heads home at a reasonable hour, alone.

There’s only one thorn in Stephen’s perfectly organized side: Ms. Julia Wilde. Never has Stephen dealt with a more unruly student. She’s rude, provocative, infuriating—and she dresses in a way that is completely unbecoming for a lady. Stephen can’t wait for the semester to be over, and then he’ll never have to see her again.

That is, until Stephen finds himself out of the classroom and in Julia’s apartment. Suddenly, the student/teacher roles are reversed, and the professor receives a much-needed lesson between the sheets. Stephen thought his life made sense, but after his tryst with Julia, he finds himself changed in more ways than one. Maybe he’s coming down with something.

Or maybe, something a little out of the ordinary is exactly what this stuffy professor needs to really live.

*This novel contains mature content*

I have to say it really took me a while to read this book on my Netgalley shelf. I wasn’t too sure how it would play out. I mean, would it be too much, or too little? Would it be just another clichĂ©? Well, it was none of that, Absolute Beginners by SJ Hooks was a pretty good read that I actually enjoyed. This was the tale of how a shy college professor, Stephen Worthington and his seemingly bright, yet antagonistic student, Julia Wilde.

Tiger Lily by: Amelie S. Duncan

What started as an assignment became more than Lily could ever have hoped for

Lily Salomé has encountered more challenges than the average twenty-four year old. After a horrendous crash killed her parents, an abusive relationship was all she needed to turn her broken heart to stone. So when Lily's boss comes to her with a challenge most girls would balk at, she knows there isn't much left in this world to be afraid of.

The target: Jonas Crane, a brooding business mogul. Dark, dangerous and mouthwatering, Crane has written a book about life in the fast lane and with the recent publicity, Lily's boss wants the rights. Problem is, Crane won't return a phone call, let alone agree to a meeting. But if a pretty publishing assistant happens to run into him at the Waldorf, with a business card and a smile...what could go wrong?

A lot, it seems. Lily thinks she's going to meet a rich jerk, or worse, a playboy, but the truth is way more challenging. Jonas Crane is smart, engaging...and devastatingly out of her league.

How can a character be so weak and yet so strong all at the same time? That’s exactly how Lily Salome was in Part One of Tiger Lily by Amelie S. Duncan. Lily had suffered the pain and loss of losing both parents at the same time and an ex- fiancĂ©, Declan, who was a manipulative and abusive prick.  Not that the loss of her parents and an ex from hell, Lily has a boss, who moonlights as a friend, that sends her on an assignment to meet the charming and elusive Jonas Crane.

Although there is an instant spark of chemistry, their love is not as quick to start. Jonas, is recently divorced with a teenage son and is based in Texas, while Lily works in New York and lives in New Jersey. With Jonas not looking to dive right back into a serious relationship, he and Lily have a mutual respect and curiosity for each other, the relationship that is proposed, seems convenient

Sweet Agony by Charlotte Stein

The live-in position is an opportunity for Molly to earn and escape a problematic family. There’s just one drawback. Her employer is the most eccentric, aloof and closed off man she's ever encountered. His rules are bizarre and his needs even more so, and caring for his ramshackle Dickensian home is far more than she ever bargained for. Only their increasingly intense conversations stop her heading for the door. Cyrian Harcroft is a man of many mysteries and secrets, and the more she learns the greedier she is for each and every one. Especially when she discovers his greatest fear: any kind of physical contact. Now all she has to do is dig a little deeper, to unearth the passion she knows he can feel…

There was so much potential in Sweet Agony by Charlotte Stein and I am convinced, that this story of Molly Parker and Cyrian Harcroft could have been a tale to talk about for at least... hours after it had ended. However, this was not the case. It was apparent that the characters provoked a certain level of intrigue but the small details of their lives were muddled with tons of Molly’s internal dialogue mixed with Cyrian’s kinky tendencies and their Gilmore Girls like banter.
There were so many questions that I was left with when this story ended and so little answer were available to be had, like why was he so dang gone weird. Sure, his daddy was mean to him, but dang it man, that just didn’t add up to the way he acted, talked, and even dressed. And what did he do for a living? I get that he was probably of a certain socio-economic status, but what did he do besides wonder around a big ole rickety house? And where did clothes miraculous come from that fit Molly perfectly because there was no talk of any other characters interacting until the very end.
I digress. Sure, this book was kinky and had the makings of something great. How-so-and-ever, it fell way short for me. I am not sure how to rate this one or what I would recommend for anyone to do with it, but if you like to read your porno-graphies, Sweet Agony by Charlotte Stein is the book for you.

Sex Becomes Her by: Regina Cole

ONE TOUCH

Eliza's last relationship ended in ruins, and she's anything but eager to jump back into something serious. A trip to Hawaii for her best friend's wedding couldn't come at a better time. Showing up without a date is the least of her worries. In fact, it may even play into her wildest fantasies when the perfect hunk of a man appears before her…

ONE LOOK

With Chandler's divorce behind him he's ready to move on, so he heads to Hawaii for his cousin's wedding. The moment his eyes encounter Eliza's sultry curves and sensual lips, he's more than ready for a night of non-stop sex. But despite the heat of their unbridled carnal pleasure, Eliza is still afraid to tell him about her forbidden desires. And when their casual affair follows them home, it threatens to alter their lives forever.

So… about this novel…I can say this was not a favorite of mine. I mean it wasn’t bad and I didn’t hate it nor was it good and I definitely didn’t love it, it was somewhere in the middle. Sex Becomes Her by Regina Cole chronicles the life of Eliza Jackson, a small town girl with big dreams of kink-foolery and Chandler Morse, a recent divorcee who is single and ready to mingle. So, what could go wrong when these two single individuals meet up at a wedding in an exotic location and end up knock-boots? Well, I will tell you what goes wrong; Eliza and her top secret issue-non-issue.

See, Eliza is a pariah in her hometown because she trusted the wrong person, her ex, with her tom-kinkery fantasies and he in turn did the most mature thing possible, tell everyone who would listen to his shenanigans plus some colorful embellishments. As a result, Eliza lives her life as a hermit afraid of herself and getting too close to others. Thus, leading up to all the problems I had with this book.

Idle Bloom by: Jewel E. Ann

"What lies beneath my veiled perfection is the ugly truth—my truth, my reality, my destiny."

Vivian Graham has an acceptance letter into Harvard, a badass tattoo, loyal friends, ties to marijuana, a penchant for Dunkin’ Donuts, and her pesky V-card.

Everyday she takes the Red Line to her job at The Green Pot in Boston while her friends enter the coveted, black iron gates to higher learning. The ramifications from a tragic accident have put her life on hold while time marches on for everyone around her.

After graduating from Harvard Law, Boston native, Oliver Konrad, moves to Portland to start his career and his life. Three years later, after a horrific discovery, he returns home to trade in his three-piece suit for leather work boots and his suburban home for a condo in Cambridge.

All he brought back to the East Coast was an aversion to pillows and secrets he keeps hidden behind a mysterious locked door. Oliver’s days are predictable and his nights are lonely until he meets Vivian on the subway. Her long raven hair, green eyes, and mile-long legs are achingly sexy, but the way she "innocently" fingers and licks her Boston Kreme doughnut can only be described in two words—complete torture.

When their paths cross at every turn, laughter is abundant, friendship is easy, and love is unintentional. However, their future seems improbable.

*This book contains adult situations and explicit content, 17+

It has taken me a few days to write a review after I finished reading Idle Bloom by Jewel E. Ann, because I had a difficult time trying to figure out how I would review a tale that was told so beautifully. I can honestly say I had a book hangover when I was done and even though the story was eloquently written to completion, I still wanted more. I mean, Jewel E. Ann flawlessly introduced me to Vivian Graham, who was a 21-year old, pseudo college student who was as beautiful as she was broken and Oliver Konrad, who was once an attorney, but now on the run from ghosts of his past that left him as a shadow of the man he once was.
