A new stand
alone enemies-to-lovers romance by USA Today bestselling author K.A.
Linde...
I spent six weeks screwing Austin Wright’s brains
out and all I got was this broken heart.
He can’t be trusted. Not with my body or my heart.
Yet, two years have passed and I still crave him like an addict needing a
fix.
The last time we tried this, it nearly ruined me.
I know I should run and never look back. But his dark haunted eyes and razor
blade smile speak to my soul. His touch sets my body on fire. And we all know
what happens when you light gasoline. Someone is bound to get
burned.
A second chance might destroy us both.
Because everyone knows two wrongs don’t make a
Wright.
My Review
I have enjoyed each of the books in this series. Each of them was a standalone featuring one of the Wright Brothers, Landon and Jenson. However, throughout both of the past two books of this series, The Wright Brother and the The Wright Boss, there were two characters in the background that demanded your attention. There was Austin Wright, who always had a drink in his hand and forever unbothered, yet intuitive and then there was Julia who was clearly a lady in the streets with lots of sass and such when he is hanging with her girls.
Early on you see the layers between these two and knew that whatever had happened between them and what was to come, was something powerful and emotional and I could hardly wait to learn what these two were hiding. Boy, was I not disappointed. These two loved just as passionate as they hated each other and the secrets they buried under their toxic vices, that they used to render themselves immune to the emotions and trials of their past. However, once this combustible duo finally push their pride and their past behind them they are hot. Smoldering the pages until they are struck by a tragedy that sends them into a tailspin.
I digress. Much like all of the other books in this series, there is a strong sense of family and togetherness. And just like the past two books the whole gang was present and loving on one another. This novel had love, lost, redemption, and the tenacity to go on, even when it hurts and as such, I am going to give this standalone title of The Wright series 5-stars. This book has some love and some lost and is well written much like all of the books in this series, so I am going to recommend that you run on out and not only read The Wright Mistake by K.A. Linde, but also The Wright Brother and The Wright Boss.
You did that, yet gain Ms. Linde!
