I had not read a historical romance novel in a very long
time so I was surprised how easy it was for me to get into this book after receiving an ARC from Netgalley. I
instantly fell for Christian Trent. He was witty, sarcastic, charming, and
despite his disfigurement, he came across as like for real handsome. Despite
all of his inner struggles he was loveable.
Sarah Cooper aka Lady Sarena definitely brought out the good, bad, and
the ubber romantic side in him and made the novel swoon worthy. This is a must
read if historical romances are your thing… or not. My only reservation was the
ending. I was definitely left hanging from a random cliff somewhere in the land
of “Ouffadou”.
